With every birth.
Knowledge is the key
That unlocks self-worth.
Well, I've decided that if I'm going to be using Deviantart, I might as well use it for something useful. As such, my first decree as reinstated ruler of my realm is that my RP characters must have profiles here. So, the first character that I have deemed worthy of a profile is Senan, who started out in an RP on Zantarni. So, on to the profiling!
Name: Senan
Age: Approximately 3,000 years.
Race: Unknown. Senan has been molded by the presence of the God of Knowledge, and currently looks human.
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral
History:Senan was born and raised to a simple life in the ancient world. As he grew older, he became dissatisfied with the life his parents lived, and went out into the world to make his own fortunes. Unlike so many other tales with this beginning, his did not end tragically in a roadside ditch. No, Senan bumbled across the God of Knowledge, Eolas himself. (Who was apparently studying a pine tree at the time)
When confronted by Senan, the God asked him whether his question applied better to himself than to Eolas. After thinking for a moment, Senan asked another question, quickly followed by yet more. Eolas never gave Senan a straight answer, and so, Senan began to follow him through the world, asking questions about this and that, and learning far more about the pursuit of knowledge than of knowledge itself.
Soon, Eolas had taken Senan to the Citadel, which was to be his new home thereafter. Under Eolas's tutelage, Senan began a lifetime of study that is continueing even now. During this period, Senan slowly began to look more like Eolas, until only the sheer force of presence that Eolas carried rendered them as discernable from each other.
It was round this time that it became widely known that someone was the "favored disciple" of one of the Gods of yore, and many came to see him, in attempts to be closer to the divinity that so many craved. During this period, Senan apparently begot at least one child, apparently from a woman more besotted with Senan's closeness to Eolas than with Senan himself.
As time went on, Senan's popularity with the general public disappeared, and he simply became one of the accepted parts of the world, much as mountains and forests. He was shunted up through the hierarchy of the Citadel, until he eventually sat att he top. Like all those before him, he did not grasp for more power, but instead set out in attempts to at least partially educate the world, and offered knowlege freely to all who came to seek it.
This went on for millenia, until present day, when one of Senan's descendants was forced upon him by a mother unable to support her child. This child, a young girl, is Senan's opposite in many ways. She is slow to anger, quick to sadness, tears, and happiness, and quiet. She is Senan's worst nightmare incarnate, as he has no capabilities to handle children, and her apparent emotions are often on edge with his own. The current chapter in Senan's story are being written as we speak, with this young girl as the driving current.

I had to fall to lose it all... but In the End it dosen't even matter.

He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
